Definition of First Aid:
First Aid is the limited medical treatment of the sick or wounded persons till they receive a doctor’s attention or a hospital’s medical facilities.
Aim or Objective of First Aid:
i.) To preserve life ii.) To promote recovery iii.) To prevent worsening of patient’s condition.
Pulse and Reparation rate of human beings (per minute):
Normal pulse rate
Adult 60-80 12-14
Child 80-100 14-18
Baby 100-120 18-22
Examples of FAST pulse & respiration:
Exercise, emotional conditions, fever, hemorrhages, shock, certain heart and lung conditions.
Examples of SLOW pulse & respiration:
due to rest & sleep, head injury cases.
